Workshop with Crank Sturgeon

Sunday February 19 2pm

Textos tech-toes, tex/toasties …

Crank Sturgeon, performance artist & noisy fisherman joins up with the 119 Gallery for an afternoon session building his patented Boggle-Blargh! The Boggle-Blargh is a vocal microphone that merges DIY ethos with hardware store accessories, resulting in a tasty lo-fi sound. Aspiring crooners, metal headed growlers, and DADA poets… each and all, can broadcast their babble with the Boggle-Blargh.

Crank will be on hand to discuss safe and proper soldering techniques, materials, as well as demonstrations on how these microphones can be used. Participants will be guided through all the steps of construction and have their very own Boggle-Blargh to take home! This workshop is open to all levels of experience.
